Onsite IT Support Engineer - (PART TIME CONTRACT)
Location: Norfolk
Contract: Initial 6-12 Month Contract - working 1 day per week
Rate: Inside IR35/Umbrella - rate negotiable
Start: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Onsite IT Support Engineer to act as the primary IT presence for a key customer site, delivering high-quality hands-on support across end-user technologies, meeting room environments, and workplace services. You will be supporting 100 users onsite.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys a varied role combining desktop support, VIP support, AV technologies, and IT asset management within a professional enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite support for incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk.

Install, configure and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, monitors, docking stations and peripherals.

Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including device deployment and user setup.

Deliver white-glove support to VIP users and support critical business events.

Maintain meeting rooms and collaboration technologies, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, AV equipment, cameras, microphones and connectivity.

Perform IT asset management activities, including inventory control, stock management, hardware refreshes and CMDB updates.

Coordinate hardware logistics, repairs, warranty activities and device returns.

Ensure accurate ticket management and documentation within JIRA Service Management.

Produce operational reporting and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Proven experience in an Onsite Support, Desktop Support, IT Support Engineer or Workplace Support position.

Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments.

Experience supporting meeting room technologies and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.

Knowledge of IT asset life cycle management and CMDB tools.

Experience working with ticketing systems such as JIRA Service Management or ServiceNow.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware and software issues.

Previous experience providing VIP or executive user support would be highly beneficial.

Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.

Able to work autonomously and take ownership of onsite IT operations.
