Senior Manager, Accounting

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses. • Contribute to the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. • Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic decision-making. • Provide analysis and insights into financial trends and key performance indicators. • Coordinate with external auditors during reviews and annual audits. • Drive improvements in accounting policies, procedures, and controls to meet business needs. • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning. What You'll Need • Bachelor's Degree in accounting required; Master's Degree preferred. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least three years in managerial roles. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, leases, and credit losses. • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex accounting issues. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
