Volt is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Paso Robles, CA.

As a Facilities Technician you will:

Support a medical production facility. This long-term temp-to-hire role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, production support equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and building systems (including production support utilities) to minimize downtime.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support facility compliance with safety, cGMP, and quality standards applicable to a medical production environment.
• Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and general facility repairs as needed.
• Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and facility modifications.
• Monitor and respond to building automation/alarm systems.
• Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and cleanroom or controlled-area requirements when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support overall facility appearance and functionality.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational needs.

This is a Full Time Temp to Hire opportunity!

Schedule: 4/10s (Monday-Thursday)

The Ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or vocational certification preferred.
• 2+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience (medical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar regulated environment preferred).
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent Monday-Thursday 4/10 schedule.
• Willingness to follow strict safety, quality, and cleanliness standards required in a medical production facility.
• Experience in a cGMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environment.
• Basic electrical, welding, or instrumentation skills.
• Forklift or aerial lift certification.
• Knowledge of building automation systems.

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
