Job Summary

Working under the direction of a manager, plan, create, execute, monitor, and analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing and advertising campaigns, which contribute to the advancement of academic or business objectives.

Collaborate with communicators, marketers, or program managers to identify marketing goals, audiences, and messaging. Research available markets and channels, and recommend or select the best ones for the initiative. Develop digital marketing plans and relevant, compelling creative deliverables, working in conjunction with managers, ad agencies, and third-party designers or other creatives. Produce digital marketing copy and content as needed. Ensure deliverables are consistent with the brand and quality standards of the organization, as well as its global reputation for excellence. Projects may include related non-digital marketing elements, such as print or radio.

Experience and Expertise

  • Effective use of paid and owned social media, podcast sponsorship, digital display, and email (eblasts and newsletters) advertising.
  • Experience in paid search, search engine optimization, and web analytics.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis (trends, key metrics, and results) for digital campaigns to the client.
  • Educate and consult with team members on advertising efforts, digital marketing product capabilities, and digital media trends.

Will liaise with and represent client''s interests, needs, and requirements with publishers, advertising agencies, suppliers, and creative resources to ensure successful project execution. Will conduct periodic audits of invoices, budgets, and media plans to optimize media investment.

Required Technical Skills

  • Intermediate or better proficiency in typical Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Photoshop as well as web analytics.
  • Additional skills with products like Salesforce CRM may be helpful.

Additional Responsibilities

The IT Engagement & Marketing Coordinator will help strengthen how the Office of the CIO (OCIO) communicates, engages, and connects with the IT organization and campus community. This role is responsible for increasing awareness and adoption of IT capabilities through marketing campaigns, storytelling, and events while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across IT.

The coordinator will develop and support new communication channels, organize engagement activities such as technology showcases and staff events, promote IT successes, and create opportunities for the community to better understand the value of IT services. In addition, the role will coordinate small- to medium-sized OCIO initiatives by supporting project planning, stakeholder communications, meeting coordination, and progress tracking.

This temporary position will establish repeatable engagement practices, communication assets, and event processes that strengthen organizational effectiveness and leave a sustainable foundation for future IT engagement efforts.
