Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading application management or enterprise systems teams.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with the SFIA framework and digital transformation principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience managing complex application landscapes and vendor ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and effective delivery of all business applications across our organisation.
- Develop and deliver an application management strategy that supports our current and future needs.
- Establish clear processes for the full application lifecycle, including acquisition, development, maintenance, and retirement.
- Oversee the performance, availability, and reliability of business‑critical applications.
- Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management so issues are resolved promptly and downtime is minimised.
- Build strong working relationships across our organisation and act as the main point of contact for application-related advice, priorities, and improvement.
- Ensure our applications comply with regulatory requirements, data protection obligations, and security standards.
- Identify and manage risks related to application services, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Lead, support, and develop the application management team to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service and foster collaboration, innovation, and shared problem-solving.
