Job Description

Software Developer (C++) - UKIC DV Cleared | 5 days on-site | Cheltenham

Salary: £43,000-£60,000 per annum
Security Clearance: Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) required.

We're looking for a talented C++ Software Developer to join a growing engineering team delivering secure, high-performance software solutions in Linux environments. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects using modern development tools and best practices.



The Role

You'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining C++ applications while working closely with engineers and customers to deliver reliable, scalable software.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain C++ applications within Linux environments.

  • Debug, profile and optimise software using tools such as Valgrind.

  • Analyse network traffic, protocols and packet flows.

  • Work with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).

  • Carry out code reviews and contribute to software quality and security.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.



What We're Looking For

  • Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance.

  • 18+ months' commercial C++ development experience.

  • Experience developing within Linux environments.

  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.

  • Good understanding of networking concepts and version control (Git).

  • Experience with Docker and Jenkins is desirable.
