We are shaping the future of quantum computing and as we expand, we are searching for a additional Software Engineer (C#/.NET worker services) your primary responsibility will be building a quantum orchestrator that interfaces directly with external quantum hardware and software. You will also automate software deployments on clean Ubuntu environments and build CI workflows. You will work closely with TreQ’s systems engineers, software lead, and supply chain partners to pioneer open-architecture quantum infrastructure.

As a Software Engineer (C#/.NET worker services), your day will see you :

  • Build, document, and maintain quantum orchestration and integration solutions (primarily C# worker services) that interface directly with external quantum hardware.
  • Automate and document software deployments on clean Ubuntu environments using Docker and systemd.
  • Establish, document, maintain, and streamline CI workflows to ensure high software quality.
  • Actively participate in peer code reviews.
  • Self-manage sprint tasks within a fast-moving, collaborative team.

You will be a success in this role if:

You know about:

    • .NET background worker services and message queues
    • Docker container deployments and Systemd service management
    • GitHub, CI/CD automation, and modern deployment pipelines
    • Entity Framework, SignalR, or Blazor

You can:

    • Demonstrate the ability to specify, design, and document bi-directional APIs cleanly
    • Independently problem-solve
    • illustrate structured task management

You’ve had experiences like these:

    • Developing software that interacts directly with external hardware or instruments
    • Installing containerised software on clean Ubuntu server environments
    • Establishing and maintaining reliable CI/CD pipelines
    • Using AI tools to assist in generating unit tests, documentation, and routine code

You like:

    • Security-first thinking and standard software patterns and practices

    • Letting AI handle repetitive/routine tasks so you can focus on core logic
    • Writing TCP/IP stacks, compiler passes, or authentication solutions, or maintaining cloud infrastructure.

There is extra kudos if you have a degree in computer science, software engineering, physics, or can share equivalent practical experience. You don't need to be an expert in software architecture or have a background in quantum to apply. We value practical engineering experience as much as formal academic credentials. People join TreQ from industry, national laboratories, startups, academia, and military service.
