Hardware Lab Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Manage lab infrastructure, test beds, system builds, and hardware installations
Rack, stack, configure, and troubleshoot servers, storage, switches, and telecom equipment
Perform BIOS, firmware, and operating system installations/upgrades (Windows & Linux)
Build and maintain customer lab mirror environments and pre-staging systems
Support engineers by configuring remote access, networking, and test environments
Troubleshoot hardware, RF, fiber, electrical, and network-related issues
Maintain lab inventory, documentation, network diagrams, and IP plans
Travel to customer sites for installations and technical support (approximately 20%)
Required Qualifications
5 10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Lab Engineer, or similar role
Experience with Dell and HPE enterprise servers
Telecom industry experience supporting 4G/5G RAN and Core network systems
Strong knowledge of server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience with Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS, Wind River OS) and Windows environments
Familiarity with virtualization and container platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, and OpenShift
Knowledge of networking, fiber optics, RF systems, DC power, grounding, and monitoring tools
Experience using diagnostic and test equipment such as Wireshark, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and fiber test sets
