Primarily Remote, however, this contractor may be required to report to BHSR (Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries) headquarters in Harrisburg, PA on a periodic basis for training or meetings, such as monthly collaboration days.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the information technology industry in business analysis, customer service, and/or end-user support to meet general objectives shown above. 
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Outreach 
  • History of successful training or technical support delivery for professional audiences preferred.

 

Role Summary – Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supplemental support to the Bureau focused on adoption of electronic reporting (EDRS) by licensed healthcare providers.
  • Apply strong verbal/written communication, customer service, workflow explanation, problem identification, and end‑user support skills.
  • Serve as an EDRS(Electronic Death Registration System) Adoption team member, supporting physicians, nurses, and other licensed healthcare professionals across PA healthcare facilities with onboarding and enrollment.
  • Collaborate with BHSR (Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries) staff, including QAT and Business Workflow units, to coordinate stakeholder outreach and enrollment support.
  • Conduct targeted outreach to external stakeholders prioritized by BHSR; guide them through enrollment procedures, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful EDRS access.
  • Provide password resets, account unlocks, and workflow recommendations to help facilities integrate EDRS into daily operations.
  • Support broader outreach initiatives to raise awareness of EDRS and encourage adoption as needed.
  • Work directly with SMEs and stakeholders to maintain knowledge of SSO and EDRS account request procedures, business requirements, and reporting workflows.
  • Refer users to appropriate technical resources, training materials, and support channels.
  • Deliver end‑user assistance including password management, account troubleshooting, and process guidance.

Operational & Technical Tasks

  • Assist with facility setup analysis and management in PAVRMS.
  • Review current EDRS usage and tailor outreach strategies based on adoption levels (minimal, moderate, near‑complete).
  • Conduct workflow‑focused outreach to facilities and recommend strategies to improve electronic reporting; communicate findings to team lead/QAT.
  • Help external stakeholders establish and recover SSO credentials (administrators and personnel from hospitals, nursing homes, long‑term care facilities, etc.).
  • Support stakeholders in linking SSO credentials to their PAVRMS accounts.
  • Identify and report application defects; escalate potential issues to team lead.
  • Direct external stakeholders to available training and support resources.
