Englewood, CO (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a Junior Lab Engineer to join their advanced R&D team in Englewood, CO. This early-career position is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, signal processing, RF systems, or applied computer science who are eager to work on next-generation cable and network solutions. As a Junior Lab Engineer, you will gain direct exposure to advanced R&D work, collaborate with senior engineers, and contribute to projects that have real customer and network impact. The role offers hands-on learning across RF, signal processing, data analysis, and future AI applications, as well as strong mentorship and visibility through the Elevate Program. You will be part of a team building systems that do not yet exist in the industry, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct lab-based experimentation and analysis related to RF signals, spectrum, and network infrastructure
  • Analyze signal data including magnitude, phase, frequency behavior, and propagation characteristics
  • Support development of data analysis pipelines and experimentation frameworks
  • Collaborate across engineering, R&D, and testing teams to advance exploratory projects
  • Document findings and present insights to technical stakeholders and leadership
  • Learn and apply new tools, methodologies, and technologies in a fast-paced R&D environment
WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred; Computer Science or related technical degree considered with strong EE fundamentals
  • Academic or hands-on exposure to signals and signal propagation, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), RF systems or microwave theory, cellular or wireless signal propagation, or coaxial cable systems
  • Comfort working with complex, physics-driven problems
  • Strong analytical thinking and curiosity
  • Coursework or projects involving Maxwell's equations or electromagnetic theory
  • Bonus: Amateur (ham) radio background, RF testing or lab environments, exposure to DOCSIS concepts or cable network architectures, or early experience with machine learning, data analysis, or applied statistics
