Senior Technical Architect – AWS Cloud & Databricks

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect with a deep understanding of AWS Cloud and Databricks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud technologies and big data solutions within our organization, ensuring scalability, resilience, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data platforms, leveraging AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift) and Databricks to build scalable and resilient solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to cloud best practicessecurity standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and technical standards for the organization.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing and big data technologies, and drive their adoption within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceEngineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, including EC2S3EMRRedshift, and other relevant services.
  • Deep understanding of Databricks architecture, including Delta LakeSpark, and MLflow.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering principlesdata warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Experience with data integrationETL/ELT processes, and data quality management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Scala, and strong SQL skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
