Role Summary
We are seeking a PIM Manager to lead the implementation, governance, and ongoing optimization of a new Product Information Management platform. This newly created role will serve as the functional owner of the organization''s product data strategy and play a critical role in transforming how product information is managed, governed, and distributed across the business.
The PIM Manager will act as the bridge between business and technical teams, leading platform implementation efforts while establishing processes, standards, and governance models that create a single source of truth for product information. This role requires a combination of data management expertise, project leadership, technical aptitude, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of the organization''s Product Information Management platform
• Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for product data governance, standards, and best practices
• Define product taxonomies, attribute structures, validation rules, digital asset requirements, and content standards
• Partner with Product, Marketing, eCommerce, Operations, IT, Sales, and external vendors to gather requirements and drive adoption
• Design and optimize workflows for product creation, enrichment, approval, lifecycle management, and data syndication
• Evaluate integration requirements and ensure product data flows effectively across enterprise applications
• Develop reporting, auditing, and monitoring processes to improve product data quality, completeness, and compliance
• Create training materials, documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides to support platform adoption
• Lead stakeholder meetings, presentations, and project updates while managing expectations and removing roadblocks
• Identify implementation risks, dependencies, and data quality challenges while driving resolution plans
Key Requirements
• Bachelor''s degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, eCommerce, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Product Information Management, Product Data Management, Master Data Management, Digital Commerce, or similar data focused disciplines
• Proven experience leading or supporting enterprise platform implementations, system integrations, or data transformation initiatives
• Hands on experience with PIM, PXM, MDM, or related data management platforms such as Salsify, Akeneo, Inriver, Syndigo, Informatica, or comparable solutions
• Strong understanding of product data governance, taxonomy development, attribute modeling, data quality management, and content lifecycle processes
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable system configurations and operational workflows
• Ability to bridge technical and business teams while effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience working with integrations, APIs, enterprise applications, and interconnected business systems
• Strong understanding of product data structures, content management, workflow automation, and information governance principles
• Demonstrated success leading cross functional projects, managing timelines, and driving initiatives from planning through execution
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with the capability to evaluate data quality issues and implement sustainable solutions
• Comfortable operating in a highly visible role that requires collaboration across multiple departments and leadership teams
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands on execution and system implementation activities
• Proven ability to build relationships, gain alignment, and influence decision making without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Salsify
• Experience implementing a PIM platform from selection through deployment
• Experience with ERP, eCommerce, DAM, CMS, or enterprise information management platforms
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, vendor management, and change management practices
• Experience supporting omnichannel commerce, digital shelf initiatives, and product content syndication
• Knowledge of retailer content requirements and marketplace product information standards
