Job Overview

TechAGI Solutions is seeking an experienced Varicent SPM Architect to design, implement, and support enterprise Sales Performance Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Varicent SPM, incentive compensation management, solution architecture, data modeling, integrations, and end-to-end implementations.

The consultant will work with business and technical stakeholders to translate compensation requirements into scalable Varicent solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of compensation plans, commissions, quotas, territories, crediting rules, calculations, reporting, and production support.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, configuration, and implementation of Varicent SPM solutions.

  • Gather business requirements and translate sales compensation policies into functional and technical designs.

  • Design compensation plans, commission structures, quotas, territories, crediting rules, calculations, and incentive programs.

  • Develop scalable data models, workflows, calculations, reports, and dashboards within Varicent.

  • Lead complete Varicent implementations, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

  • Design integrations between Varicent and CRM, ERP, HR, payroll, finance, and other enterprise applications.

  • Develop and support integrations using SQL, APIs, flat files, and other integration methods.

  • Validate commission calculations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of compensation data.

  • Conduct system, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing.

  • Identify and resolve calculation errors, data issues, integration failures, and system performance problems.

  • Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, configuration documents, and implementation guidelines.

  • Provide technical leadership and Varicent platform best practices to project teams.

  • Collaborate with sales operations, finance, compensation, HR, IT, and business stakeholders.

  • Support production releases, platform enhancements, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Communicate solution designs, project risks, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise application architecture, Sales Performance Management, or incentive compensation solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Varicent SPM and Varicent architecture.

  • Proven experience leading or supporting end-to-end Varicent implementations.

  • Strong understanding of incentive compensation management, compensation plans, commissions, bonuses, quotas, territories, and crediting rules.

  • Experience designing complex calculations, workflows, data models, reports, and dashboards.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with APIs and enterprise data integrations.

  • Experience integrating Varicent with CRM, ERP, HR, payroll, or financial systems.

  • Strong understanding of solution design, testing, deployment, production support, and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to analyze complex compensation requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

  • Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Varicent certification or relevant professional training.

  • Experience with large-scale or global incentive compensation implementations.

  • Knowledge of sales operations, financial controls, data governance, and compensation compliance.

  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
