Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Internet network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and utilization to ensure optimal system uptime.
- Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 network-related incidents and connectivity issues.
- Perform network hardware installation, upgrades, replacements, and maintenance.
- Support network security initiatives by implementing cybersecurity best practices and assisting with threat mitigation.
- Monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and recommend performance improvements.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory, and change records.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and expansion of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and field support teams on implementation and support activities.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize network resources.
- Provide technical guidance, user support, and training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Network Administration.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- TCP/IP Networking
- DHCP
- DNS
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- VPN Connectivity
- Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of network security principles and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent.
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with network capacity planning and infrastructure design.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or government environments.
- Leadership or mentoring experience is a strong plus.
