Process Engineer – Plymouth, Devon – Up to £40,000 + Benefits – REF 082 Salary up to £40,000 pa + Benefits<br />Plymouth, Devon<br />Mon – Thurs 8:30am – 5:00pm | Fri 8:30am – 2:30pm An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global manufacturing organisation that designs, develops and manufactures innovative products supplied to customers across a wide range of industries worldwide. With a strong reputation for engineering excellence, continuous improvement and investment in technology, the business is committed to developing its people and providing long-term career opportunities within a collaborative manufacturing environment. As part of the Engineering team, the company is now seeking a Process Engineer to support the optimisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across the site. Working closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance, you will play a key role in improving process capability, reducing waste, increasing productivity and supporting the introduction of new products and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Process Engineer or an ambitious Process Technician looking to take the next step in their career. Full support and development will be provided for the right individual. Skills & Experience Needed:
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent) or relevant manufacturing experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED or similar methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams.
- Good communication skills with a proactive and hands-on approach. Desired:
- Previous experience within a moulding, extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding or rubber manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of process optimisation, validation or root cause analysis.
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
