Our client is a leading organisation delivering complex technology solutions within a secure and highly regulated environment. They are seeking an experienced Technical Assurance Lead to provide independent technical oversight and governance across critical ICT platforms and services.

Job Description

The Technical Assurance Lead will provide independent review and assurance of technical solutions, designs, and project deliverables to ensure they meet organisational standards, security requirements, operational objectives, and architectural principles. Working closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and delivery partners, the successful candidate will identify risks, support governance activities, assess solution readiness, and provide recommendations that improve quality, security, performance, resilience, and long-term sustainability. This role requires strong technical expertise across infrastructure and applications, combined with excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to operate within complex enterprise environments.

Essential Skills/Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing independent technical assurance for ICT solutions, technical designs, and project deliverables.
  • Strong technical knowledge across enterprise infrastructure, platforms, applications, and system integration.
  • Experience reviewing vendor-delivered technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Ability to assess solutions against architecture standards, security requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Experience preparing technical scopes of work and supporting project delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to identify, manage, and report technical risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Experience assessing solution readiness for implementation, transition, and operational support.
  • Strong governance, assurance, and reporting experience within complex ICT environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to provide recommendations that improve quality, performance, security, resilience, and sustainability of technology solutions.
  • Experience in technical governance, assurance reviews, or systems delivery within large enterprise environments.
Desirable
  • Experience within secure or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and governance frameworks.
  • Experience conducting technical compliance assessments and assurance reviews.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ICT transformation or technology delivery programs.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in ICT, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, or Project Management.
  • Familiarity with IT service management and operational governance processes.
