Software Engineering Generalist

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deliver full-stack features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Work directly with users and stakeholders to understand workflows, identify pain points, and uncover high-impact opportunities
• Translate recurring requests into scalable primitives, platforms, or middleware that support multiple use cases
• Build internal tools that increase autonomy and make it easier for less technical users to accomplish their goals
• Contribute to product direction and prioritization by making thoughtful decisions with limited information
• Iterate quickly based on feedback to improve usability and overall product experience
• Continuously adapt to new tools, frameworks, and evolving product needs

Skills

• 6+ years of experience building production software, ideally with full-stack exposure
• Strong ability to operate independently and take a product from idea through launch
• Solid experience working across Python, TypeScript, and React
• Systems thinking with the ability to identify patterns and create reusable solutions
• Comfort working in ambiguity and making decisions without complete information
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong ownership mindset focused on outcomes, not just task completion

Preferred Skills

• Experience building platforms, internal tools, or foundational systems others rely on
• Background in product-oriented environments or roles that combine engineering and product thinking
• Experience partnering closely with users to discover needs and improve workflows
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-trust environment
