Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong background in enterprise networking to lead the design, deployment, and management of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud environments coupled with robust traditional networking skills to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing hybrid cloud architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available enterprise-grade Azure cloud environments.

• Networking & Hybrid Connectivity: Architect and manage complex cloud networking components, including Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and load balancers.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments align with security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and compliance standards.

• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; continuously optimize performance and cost.

• Collaboration: Partner with DevOps, security, and application development teams to troubleshoot infrastructure challenges and support seamless workload migrations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 6+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 4+ years dedicated to designing and managing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructures.

• Networking Expertise: Strong background in enterprise networking (CCNA/CCNP level knowledge preferred), including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, switching, firewalls, and hybrid cloud connectivity (ExpressRoute/Site-to-Site VPN).

• Azure Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Network Engineer Associate preferred.

• Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, and IaC tools (Terraform/Bicep).

• Location/Interview Policy: Must be currently based in Ohio or fully willing to relocate independently. An in-person interview is mandatory.
