Job Description


We are seeking a Construction - Loss Control Engineer V to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mission-critical construction safety, risk assessment, and cross-functional program implementation and a proven ability to drive incident reduction, ensure compliance, and enable safe project execution.


Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and provide direction, training, and mentoring to onsite construction teams and internal stakeholders to implement effective safety measures.

  • Perform risk assessments on retrofit projects and generate safe work execution plans.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor safety programs on project sites and facilitate zero incidents.

  • Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting to drive corrective actions.

  • Maintain cross-functional relationships to foster cooperation and enhance safety initiatives.

  • Ensure internal processes are followed and align expectations on delivery timelines.

  • Develop robust safety processes and standards with stakeholders to enable efficient and effective execution, including leading cross-functional communications.

  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to evaluate safety and quality impacts of new designs, materials, and construction methods.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Experience in mission-critical environments with proactive safety methodologies.

  • Experience working within a comprehensive safety program.

  • Demonstrated success implementing Environmental Health and Safety enhancement programs.

  • Proven ability to partner with team members and contractors to implement change.

  • Industry knowledge of design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems for data center construction.

  • Understanding of standard design and construction practices, including fast-track design-build processes, documents, and contracts.

  • Familiarity with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements.

  • Familiarity with retrofit projects in live mission-critical environments or occupied spaces.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills:



  • Certifications recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, such as CSP or CHST.


Work Schedule and Additional Notes:



  • Night shift requirement. Typical schedule may be 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with a one-hour break. Flexibility to work days or nights is required.
