The Role • Perform internal and external weldment inspections for work in progress and completed jobs according to contract requirements and AWS codes. • Verify that all work conforms to the correct configuration revision, drawings, specifications, and guidelines. • Interpret codes and specifications, ensuring compliance with drawing requirements. • Compile and submit data on weld quality, identifying and properly disposing of rejected parts. • Recommend and approve weld repairs during the inspection process. • Assist in training and certification of production welders and contribute to the development and improvement of welding processes. What You'll Need • Minimum of five years of relevant welding and inspection experience or equivalent training. • Valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification issued by AWS. • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, weld symbols, and relevant contractual documents. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management and personnel at all levels. • Proficiency in standard business software, including Microsoft Office. • AWS endorsements in D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, and D1.6 are desired.
