Business Analyst SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) / Sales & Distribution (SD) Location: Remote, U.S.
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) experience to support ongoing business operations within an enterprise SAP environment.
This position will focus on supporting and improving existing OTC processes rather than a new SAP implementation. The Business Analyst will work across production support, system enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and project-based work while partnering closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and managed service resources.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on SAP SD/OTC expertise, strong communication and requirements-gathering skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.
The position is fully remote within the U.S. Candidates located in Massachusetts are preferred due to the potential for occasional onsite collaboration, although Massachusetts residency is not required.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) business function with a primary focus on Sales & Distribution (SD).
  • Provide functional support and configuration within SAP SD.
  • Support key OTC processes, including:
    • Sales order processing and sales documents
    • Billing documents
    • Deliveries
    • Invoicing
    • Pricing
    • Intercompany processing
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with issue resolution.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and communicate business and functional requirements.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in SAP-related projects based on evolving business needs.
  • Support and develop expertise within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Collaborate across functional areas including EDI, Record-to-Report/Finance, Source-to-Pay, IT Business Partners, and other SAP teams.
  • Work closely with managed services resources supporting the OTC environment.
  • Balance production issues, enhancement requests, and project responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Develop sufficient business and system knowledge to operate independently following onboarding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
  • Working knowledge of core OTC functionality such as sales orders, deliveries, billing, invoicing, and pricing.
  • Experience supporting SAP business operations and resolving functional or production issues.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities across production support, enhancements, and project work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AATP (Advanced Available-to-Promise).
  • Experience with intercompany SAP processes.
  • Knowledge of additional SAP modules or cross-functional processes.
  • Experience working with EDI integrations.
  • Understanding of Finance/Record-to-Report processes.
  • Understanding of procurement/Source-to-Pay processes.
  • Experience working alongside third-party or managed services teams.
  • SAP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Interest and willingness to develop expertise across additional SAP modules and business functions.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will combine hands-on SAP SD/OTC functional expertise with the communication skills expected of a Business Analyst. This individual will be comfortable moving between business requirements, SAP functionality, production issues, and enhancement work while coordinating with several teams.
While candidates with 3 5 years of experience are well aligned with the position, more experienced SAP professionals may also be considered if they are interested in remaining hands-on in a Business Analyst capacity.
