Private Equity Associate

Overview:

We are partnering with a growing private equity firm seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate to join its investment team. This individual will play an integral role in evaluating new investment opportunities, performing financial analysis and due diligence, supporting transaction execution, and working closely with portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of investment banking experience with exposure to sectors such as Technology, Software, Healthcare, Industrials, Business Services, or other related industries. Candidates should possess strong financial modeling capabilities, transaction experience, and a desire to build a long-term career in private equity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and execute new investment opportunities across targeted sectors.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, valuation, operating, and merger models.
• Perform industry, market, and competitive research to support investment decisions.
• Participate in all aspects of due diligence, including financial, commercial, and operational workstreams.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and transaction memoranda.
• Support negotiations and transaction execution alongside senior investment professionals.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and assist management teams with strategic initiatives.
• Develop relationships with investment bankers, executives, consultants, and other industry contacts to assist with sourcing efforts.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of investment banking experience from a reputable platform.
• Transaction experience across Technology, Software, Healthcare, Industrials, Business Services, or related sectors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting M&A, capital raises, or strategic advisory transactions.
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity investing and long-term commitment to the asset class.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
