MLD Teacher

MLD Teacher | Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are hiring for an impact-driven community organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with SEND and SEMH needs. We partner with schools and local authorities to provide tailored educational support, fostering a flexible and trauma-informed approach to learning.

The Role

• Provide in-person, online, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils across KS1-KS5, planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan lessons, report on activities, and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Work with learners needing support for MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other additional educational needs.
• Play a key role in raising the standard of education for vulnerable young people.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK with the right to work.
