Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Engineer to support the assessment, deployment, configuration, upgrade, and migration of a VMware Cloud Foundation 9 environment. The candidate will work closely with senior architects and engineers on enterprise virtualization and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vCenter, VMs, and clusters.

• Support VCF deployment, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Assist with workload migration using vMotion and Storage vMotion.

• Troubleshoot VMware infrastructure, networking, storage, and connectivity issues.

• Support backup, replication, disaster recovery, and migration validation.

• Assist with hybrid-cloud integrations involving Microsoft Azure and AWS.

• Maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and validation checklists.

Required Skills:

• 10 years of hands-on VMware virtualization or infrastructure engineering experience.

• Strong foundational knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.

• Understanding of virtualization networking, storage, and VM migration.

• Familiarity with VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, NTP, and routing.

• Basic understanding of backup, replication, and disaster recovery.

• Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience.

• Experience with deployment, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud environments.

• VMware certifications are a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be available to work onsite 5 days a week in Vienna, VA.

• Background check required.

• Candidates should be comfortable with a contract-to-hire arrangement.
