This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated OB/GYN Hospitalist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• High-Volume Practice Setting: Manage full-spectrum obstetrical and gynecological care, supporting most of the OB needs for Kokomo and surrounding communities with an average volume of 60–80 births per month.
• Join a well-established practice with 1 experienced Generalist, 2 full-time Laborists, 2 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), 5 Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and 3 sonographers.
• Shared Call Structure: Call rotation shared amongst Generalists and Laborists, with CNM support as well.
• Access to Specialty Assets: Level II Labor & Delivery + Level II Nursery
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system.
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligible for Indiana state medical licensure and DEA registration.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

What additional preferences we’re seeking

• Certification: Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced (NRP) certification required.
• Experience: 3+ years of clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Hospitalist Competency: Proven expertise in managing acute hospital-based OB/GYN emergencies and labor and delivery care.
• Surgical Proficiency: Physicians who are comfortable performing emergency GYN surgeries independently.
