Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging mathematics curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and qualifications. The role entails fostering a stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver captivating mathematics lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement, participation, and a growth mindset.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to facilitate individual achievement.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Mathematics department and across the school to enhance the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in mathematics education.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
