Senior Data Architect / Data Engineer - Independent Consultants only

We have a requirement for Senior Data Architect / Data Engineer in Weehawken, NJ to lead and support a strategic data modernization initiative. The role will focus on the migrating platform from Sybase to Microsoft SQL Server on Azure Cloud. The candidate should possess strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, database migration, and Azure-based data platforms.

Should be willing to work 3-5 Days/week from Weehawken, NJ client office
Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Database Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Models).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, optimization, and design.
• Strong knowledge of Sybase ASE and database migration methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale database and cloud migration projects.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures for financial services or wealth management environments.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data quality processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with business and technical teams in an onsite environment.
