Job Description: Senior IT Change Manager Location: Hybrid Contract Type: Contract NEED ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Change Manager to lead and control the end-to-end lifecycle of IT changes across systems, services, and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will ensure that all changes are efficiently planned, risk-assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed, while minimising disruption to business operations.

This role requires strong expertise in ITIL-based change management, stakeholder engagement, and governance, combined with strategic input into IT planning and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning<br />Contribute to the development of IT policies, standards, and strategic plans<br />Develop and communicate change strategies and implementation roadmaps<br />Ensure stakeholder alignment with strategic objectives and timelines<br />Produce reports and insights to support decision-making and governanceEmerging Technology Monitoring<br />Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies<br />Support technology roadmapping and innovation initiatives<br />Provide insights and recommendations to enhance IT capabilitiesRequirements Management<br />Define, analyse, and prioritise business and technical requirements<br />Engage stakeholders to gather input and challenge assumptions<br />Establish requirement baselines and maintain traceability<br />Ensure alignment of changes with organisational objectivesConfiguration Management<br />Define and manage Configuration Items (CIs) and naming conventions<br />Implement processes for secure configuration and asset tracking<br />Maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration records<br />Conduct audits and recommend improvements to configuration processesChange Control<br />Lead the full lifecycle of change requests from assessment to closure<br />Perform risk and impact analysis for proposed changes<br />Develop and review implementation plans for complex changes<br />Ensure appropriate governance and approvals (e.g., CAB)<br />Evaluate the success and effectiveness of deployed changesIT Service Change Management<br />Design and implement frameworks, templates, and procedures for change<br />Analyse risks and benefits associated with IT service changes<br />Monitor execution and ensure adherence to best practices<br />Benchmark change management processes against industry standardsSystem Development Life Cycle (SDLC)<br />Apply structured methodologies across all SDLC phases<br />Ensure compliance with development standards and governance processes<br />Oversee checkpoints, deliverables, and quality standardsQualifications &amp; Experience Education<br />Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline OR<br />Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeExperience<br />Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT Change Management<br />Proven experience managing change requests end-to-end<br />Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders<br />Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate small teamsCertifications<br />ITIL Foundation Certification (mandatory)Key Skills &amp; Competencies<br />Strong knowledge of ITIL Change &amp; Configuration Management<br />Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills<br />Risk assessment and analytical thinking<br />Strategic planning and governance expertise<br />Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment<br />Experience with ITSM and change management toolsKey Deliverables<br />Change impact assessments and risk analyses<br />Change implementation plans and approvals<br />Configuration management records and reports<br />Post-implementation reviews (PIRs)<br />Strategic and operational reporting
