Quick Overview
Job Description
Join a rapidly growing technology leader advancing power conversion and power management for mission-driven markets including military, aerospace, industrial, and commercial. We conceive, design, and build rugged, highly reliable power supplies and UPS systems, offering a collaborative culture with real pathways for growth.
A day in the lifeMorning starts with a bench session: probing a new switch-mode stage on the oscilloscope, checking ripple on the spectrum analyzer, and verifying efficiency targets against yesterday's tweaks. After a quick sync with the PCB designer to finalize layout constraints, you review thermal margins and derating on critical components you selected for reliability and manufacturability. Midday, you jump into a cross-functional huddle with sales, mechanical, and manufacturing to clarify customer requirements and ensure the design flows cleanly into production. In the afternoon, you troubleshoot a UPS module to the component level, document findings, and update test plans to align with customer, industry, and regulatory expectations, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and relevant MIL standards.
What you will tackle- Architect, design, and develop AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems and power supplies.
- Advance new product development initiatives and enhance legacy designs for performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot power electronics, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment down to component-level root cause.
- Select components to balance performance, reliability, and manufacturability, applying robust derating and DFM principles.
- Collaborate closely with sales, PCB layout, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Plan and execute testing, perform failure analysis, and produce clear technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to customer specifications and applicable industry and regulatory standards.
- Oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and related power test equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of hands-on power electronics design experience.
- Practical experience with AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, UPS systems, and switch-mode power supplies.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination capabilities.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and MIL standards is a plus.
Your designs will power mission-critical platforms and harsh-environment applications. You will work shoulder to shoulder with experienced engineers in a collaborative environment designed for learning, contribution, and advancement.
Ready to build what powers what mattersIf you are energized by creating innovative power solutions for demanding applications, we want to hear from you.
