About the role

We are looking to recruit a number of Assistant EHCP Casework Officers to join our Statutory Assessment Team (SAT) and support our Assessment, Review and Complex Case Resolution teams. These important roles play a key part in helping children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need by ensuring Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment and review processes progress efficiently and within statutory timescales. Working alongside EHCP Casework Officers, you will act as a key point of contact for families, schools and professionals, helping to coordinate casework, maintain accurate records, monitor progress against deadlines, and provide timely updates and support throughout the EHC process. This is an excellent opportunity for organised, compassionate and proactive individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality services for children, young people and their families.

About you

We are looking for compassionate, organised and proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with families, schools and professionals, handling enquiries with empathy, sensitivity and professionalism. You will be confident managing a varied workload, have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, and be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be a team player who can use their initiative, analyse information from a range of sources, and communicate complex processes clearly and confidently. Most importantly, you will be committed to delivering a high-quality, child-centred service and helping families navigate the EHCP process with understanding and reassurance.
