Job Description

.NET Developer (SC Cleared)

Taunton (Hybrid)

3 - 6 Month Contract

£470/day (Outside IR35)

.NET Developer needed with active SC Security Clearance and strong hands-on .NET C# skills with an Azure Cloud environment.

3 - 6 Month Contract based in Taunton (Hybrid). Hybrid Working - primarily working remotely from home with travel to the Taunton (Somerset) office typically 3 times per month.

A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation on a large-scale Government project. Paying up to £470/day (Outside IR35). Start ASAP during Summer 2026.

Key skills, experience + tasks will include:

  • Software Developer needed to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Azure Cloud applications within a secure and highly regulated environment.
  • Strong hands-on software development experience using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
  • Developing applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud environments including: Azure PaaS services (App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Service Bus + Azure Key Vault).
  • Technical Skills: C#, .NET, Azure, REST APIs, service integration, object-oriented design principles (OOD), Git source control, GitHub Copilot AI tools, Agile delivery teams, CI/CD pipelines + SW Engineering best practice.
  • Developing secure, high-quality + maintainable solutions using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Participating in code reviews + implementing feedback to maintain coding standards and Software Engineering best practice.
  • Utilizing GitHub-based workflows for source code management + GitHub CopilotAI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging + resolving application issues across development, test + production environments.
  • Maintaining Software Development technical documentation using: SharePoint, Wiki, Git or other approved repositories.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies including Sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews + retrospectives.
  • Active SC Security Clearance is essential for this contract.
