Support Engineer

Support &amp; Automation Technician | Permanent | Maidstone, Kent | £35,000 Overview:<br />We are looking for an IT &amp; Automation Technician to join a fast-growing e-commerce business at their brand-new office in Maidstone, Kent. This is a unique role combining hands-on IT support with automation maintenance across a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre. You will play a pivotal role in keeping systems, machinery and technology running smoothly, helping the business scale efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, flexible hours) with a competitive salary dependent on experience. Start date is ASAP. Role &amp;

Responsibilities:

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair advanced automation equipment, including conveyors, SLAM machines, pick-to-light systems and right-size packaging machines<br />Perform proactive maintenance to maximise uptime and prevent breakdowns<br />Carry out reactive repairs to get production lines back up and running quickly<br />Provide first-line IT support to 200+ users, troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices and printers<br />Assist the IT Manager with infrastructure projects, upgrades and improvementsSkills &amp; Experience: Mechanical or technical background, ideally with experience in a fulfilment centre or similar environment<br />Hands-on tinkerer mindset, comfortable with tools, problem-solving and learning how things work<br />Strong interest in technology, IT systems and automation processes<br />Experience with MS365 and Ubiquiti environments is a plus<br />Highly IT literate, proactive and able to get things done independently<br />Obsessed with improving systems and processes to maximise efficiencyPackage: £35,000 Base Salary<br />On Site (Maidstone)<br />On Call Rota Great Benefits Package<br />Career Progression OpportunitiesSupport &amp; Automation Technician | Permanent | Maidstone, Kent | £35,000
