We are looking for a Financial Operations Manager to optimize cloud spending, improve financial accountability, and drive cost-efficient infrastructure operations across Scry AI's platforms. This role is critical in aligning cloud investments with business objectives while maximizing operational efficiency.

Role Overview

As a FinOps Manager at Scry AI, you will be responsible for managing cloud financial operations, monitoring infrastructure costs, and implementing strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization. You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, finance, and leadership teams to improve cost visibility, governance, and forecasting.

This role is ideal for someone who combines financial expertise with cloud technology knowledge and is passionate about driving operational and financial efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Cost Management & Optimization

• Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure costs across platforms
• Identify opportunities to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce waste
• Implement cost optimization strategies without compromising performance

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Develop cloud budgets, forecasts, and spending models
• Track actual spending against budgets and provide variance analysis
• Support financial planning for infrastructure growth and scaling

Governance & Financial Controls

• Establish cloud governance policies and cost management frameworks
• Ensure accurate cost allocation, tagging, and chargeback practices
• Promote financial accountability across engineering teams

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with engineering, DevOps, finance, and leadership teams
• Prepare reports and dashboards on cloud usage, spending, and optimization opportunities
• Provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making

Process Improvement & FinOps Best Practices

• Drive adoption of FinOps principles and industry best practices
• Continuously improve cloud financial management processes and workflows
• Stay updated with cloud pricing models and optimization strategies

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or cloud operations
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with cloud cost management, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and reporting tools
