QE Engineer / Business Associate

Role Overview

Senior QE Engineer responsible for API‐focused end‐to‐end and integration testing in a healthcare interoperability environment, supporting CMS Burden Reduction initiatives and HL7 FHIR‐based REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end‐to‐end API and integration tests across upstream/downstream systems.

• Validate HL7 FHIR REST APIs: payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, and error handling.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance across API workflows.

• Use Postman and Playwright for API and UI integration testing.

• Contribute to test planning in Agile / SAFe: PI Planning, Sprint Planning, System Demos.

• Define and review Acceptance Criteria in GIVEN‐WHEN‐THEN format.

• Design, automate, and execute positive, negative, and integration test scenarios.

• Manage defects and test execution using Jira; support post‐production validation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of End‐to‐End / Integration QA experience.

• Strong hands‐on API testing (Postman required).

• Experience with HL7 FHIR and healthcare interoperability.

• Experience with Playwright (API + UI) and CI/CD‐aligned testing.

• Strong experience with Jira in Agile / SAFe environments.

• Onsite availability in Bloomfield, CT or Franklin, TN.

Preferred

• Experience with CMS Burden Reduction / CMS interoperability programs.

• Exposure to tools like Nucural (preferred, not mandatory).
