Network Engineer

Local to MI. CTH role. Only accepting Permanent residents. No Sponsorship available.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls and network security solutions
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
• Experience with network troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of network security best practices and firewall management
• CNA/CCNA Certification is required
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Palo Alto network environments
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Implement network security measures and firewall policies
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
• Work closely with IT teams to resolve networking and connectivity issues
• Maintain documentation related to network architecture and configurations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments
• Additional certifications such as CCNP or Palo Alto certifications are a plus
• Experience with cloud networking and wireless technologies is preferred
