ABOUT THE ROLE
WPC Analytics is investing in the responsible, considered adoption of generative AI across our data science practice. The ideal candidate builds real things, explains them clearly, and is the first to say when AI is not the right tool for the job. The Applied AI Specialist is the primary enablement resource for WPC Data Scientists and our partners, responsible for closing the gap between what modern AI can do and how our teams actually use it. This is a builder and influencer role for someone who is technically fluent, pragmatic about AI''s real utility, and energized by helping others level up. This is not a research or model training role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Influence GenAI development and adoption through collaboration, clear communication, and solid technical foundations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive AI development and adoption, acting as the technical steward advising the SWE, including an org-wide RAG engine
• Curate and build training materials, best practices, and playbooks that help Data Scientists and their partners get the best out of modern AI tools
• Pilot AI enablement tools and applications while embedded in line-of-business teams, validating real-world utility before broader adoption
• Build observability tooling for GitHub to improve visibility into AI usage and impact
