Applicants must be eligible for Security Clearance<br />£60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus &amp; Benefits About the Role We're looking for an experienced Senior Lead Automation Engineer to join a large-scale project focused on onboarding a major public sector client and delivering highly secure communication services.

The Senior Automation Engineer will help deliver high-quality, reliable software. You'll play a key role in defining test strategy, driving automation, and ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities Lead QA activities within the development team and champion quality.<br />Design and execute test strategies for new products and features.<br />Review solution designs to identify quality risks and recommend improvements.<br />Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright.<br />Perform manual and automated testing across UI and API layers.<br />Monitor test and production environments and support defect resolution.<br />Continuously improve test coverage, QA processes, and automation frameworks.<br />Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.<br />Skills Required Strong experience in Automation Testing.<br />Hands-on experience with UI and API automation testing.<br />Strong knowledge of test design, automation, and QA best practices.<br />Experience with Playwright and Java, JavaScript, or another object-oriented language.<br />Experience writing SQL queries.<br />Experience working with AWS and SaaS products.<br />A solid understanding of Agile development practices.
