Sr. Finance / Strategic Investment Lead (Energy)

Job Overview:
o A 10+ year Senior Finance Professional who can lead the financial evaluation of major Energy projects and Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) and turn complex analysis into clear executive recommendations.

Core responsibilities:
o Build and challenge business cases and CERs from concept through approval.
o Build advanced Excel financial models with scenarios, sensitivities, stress tests, and documented assumptions.
o Evaluate NPV, IRR, ROIC, payback, risk, and investment trade-offs.
o Recommend whether projects/investments should proceed.
o Present analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
o Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Strategy, and Finance.
o Establish consistent business-case/CER standards and methodologies.
o Review actual vs. projected results after investment.

Must-have profile:
o 10+ years progressive finance experience.
o Strong financial modeling + capital budgeting/investment analysis.
o Expert Excel; strong PowerPoint.
o Proven executive communication and influencing skills.
o Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
o Energy, utilities, infrastructure, marine, logistics, or other capital-intensive industry preferred.
