(SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business.

SA-TECH currently supports the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) Naval Air Systems Command, and the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Divisions by providing rapid organic engineering, prototyping, reverse-engineering, environmental testing, antenna repairs and life-cycle extensions, and production capabilities. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Control Supervisor with a background in manufacturing or fabrication at our St. Inigoes, MD facilities to implement quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
We are a prototyping environment supporting the US Navy with shipboard antenna development and fabrication. The following job functions are basic requirements (but other duties may be assigned as well):
- Reports to the Program Manager for all Quality Management System (QMS) performance on the program and leads the tasking and priorities of Quality Control Inspectors on contract.
- Interfaces with the customer regarding the production QMS to ensure local processes and procedures are aligned with contract QA/QC requirements.
- Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
- Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
- Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections.
- Conducts thorough reviews of quality requirements to identify the controls, processes, skills, fixtures, tools, and test equipment necessary to assure product quality.
- Updates inspection and testing techniques, instrumentation, and manufacturing methods and processes.
- Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
- Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.
Work Conditions:
- Conditions will vary but most work will be conducted indoors.
- Position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting.
- The environment may get loud and PPE gear may be required at times.
Requirements Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or a qualifying substitution in an engineering, technical, or business discipline.
- Alternately, six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
- An Associate's degree and four (4) years of relevant experience may also be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
- SA-TECH will consider more senior individuals for this role as well.
- In addition to the degree requirement, a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience directly related to the Department of Defense (DoD) is mandatory.
- A background in Manufacturing or Fabrication is highly desired.
- Current Maryland Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
- U.S. Citizenship required and you must already have or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
- All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
