Electrical Engineer

Static Electrical Engineer – Plymouth Plymouth £38,000 + Excellent Benefits Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm On-Call Rota Required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Static Electrical Engineer to join a busy Facilities Management team, supporting a modern healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a varied workload, working across both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring critical building services remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment. Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns. Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical systems efficiently. Maintain electrical plant and support mechanical building services where required. Ensure all maintenance is completed in line with SFG20, HTM guidance and current Health & Safety legislation. Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately and on time. Maximise equipment reliability, performance and availability. Work safely in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota. The Ideal Candidate: Recognised electrical qualifications with proven experience in Facilities Management or Building Services. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Good working knowledge of mechanical plant and building services. Previous experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance. Experience working within a call-out environment. Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience within healthcare or other critical environments would be highly advantageous.
