Quick overview
Job description
Our heart beats turquoise.
Working at Motel One is like coming home to friends, where you can be your true self and where appreciation and support matter. We meet on an equal footing and see ourselves as one team: from our management to our trainees.
We create a home away from home for our guests with our shared passion for modern design and high-quality service. Our more than 95 hotels in 13 countries impress with exclusive design, high service standards and first-class inner-city locations at an attractive price.
As the founder and pioneer of the budget design concept, we are successfully expanding in the metropolises of Europe and beyond. Become part of our team and develop Motel One with us.
Manual skills in the hotel industry? That’s the perfect combination! Together with external service providers, you will ensure that our technology and IT run smoothly and that our guests are comfortable. You will therefore be responsible for:
- Monitoring the functionality of equipment, lifts and technical facilities throughout the hotel and carefully keeping track of defects
- Newly built hotel opening in the heart of London with 222 keys
- Real opportunity to set the standards and maintain this state-of-the-art property
- Dynamic member of the Management team and able to operate in a small team
- Communicating, liaising and cooperating with external companies, in particular checking any maintenance work
- Undertaking a tour of the premises every day to identify any defects in the hotel and carrying out the appropriate repair and renovation work
- Gaining interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams
You are a hotel professional with manual skills or a tradesperson with a passion for the hotel industry? You will fit in here! Because personality and hosting skills are our priority. You will also:
- Have completed a technical apprenticeship and/or have professional experience of one or more trades or building maintenance or be looking for a change of career.
- Be open and communicative, pay attention to detail and be interested in technology
- Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
- Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together
