Job Description

Job description
Company is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Technical Program Manager - Vehicle System Integration to serve as the operational engine behind the vehicle's functional architecture.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, and skilled at coordinating complex cross-functional efforts across engineering, safety, validation, and product teams.

As a Technical Program Manager - Vehicle System Integration, you'll:
  • Manage the lifecycle, governance, and release readiness of System Technical Specifications (STS) across key vehicle development milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs required to support systems engineering deliverables and ensure milestone commitments are met.
  • Drive execution of the System Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (SFMEA) process, including workshop facilitation, action item tracking, and mitigation follow-through.
  • Build and maintain dependency tracking across Product, Safety, Vehicle Engineering, Validation, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Lead system-level change management activities, ensuring Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) are reviewed, communicated, and assessed for downstream impacts.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional risks, dependencies, and timeline conflicts before they affect program execution.
  • Track and report key systems engineering health metrics, including requirement maturity, SFMEA progress, and verification status.
  • Support systems engineers in defining validation strategies, test asset configurations, and requirements traceability across test environments.
Ideal candidate profile
Bonus Qualifications: Prior experience developing Automotive Systems in Body or Motion Domains (e.g., Brakes, Steering, Suspension or Body Controllers).
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Systems Engineer in an aerospace, autonomous vehicle, or advanced automotive setting, with a proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional projects from requirements through validation. Deep, practical familiarity with the systems engineering "V-model" lifecycle, fail-operational architectures, and requirements management frameworks. Proven experience tracking and driving complex safety workflows, specifically SFMEAs, DFMEAs, FTAs (Fault Tree Analyses), and ISO 26262 / MIL-STD-882 compliance. Strong background in vehicle E/E system design, electrical integration, or managing complex hardware/software interfaces. Expertise using standard project, change, and configuration management stacks (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet) alongside requirements management tools and processes (such as Jama, Polarion, or DOORS). Demonstrated ability to command a room of highly specialized domain experts (hardware, software, safety, manufacturing), facilitate both technical and non-technical discussions, and drive consensus without direct authority.
B.S. or M.S. in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
