Vice President, Valuation
Location: Hybrid | Cleveland, OH , Plano, TX, & Grand Rapids, MI
Industry: Financial Advisory / Business Valuation / M&A Advisory
Our client is a leading financial advisory and consulting firm serving the insurance, wealth management, and broader financial services industries; they are seeking a Vice President, Valuation to join its growing team.
This is an opportunity to play a leadership role within an established valuation practice, overseeing complex valuation engagements, mentoring team members, and working closely with clients on strategic financial matters. The firm offers a collaborative culture, strong growth trajectory, and the ability to make a meaningful impact with clients across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business valuation engagements from strategy through final delivery.
- Manage project execution, timelines, and quality control to ensure client satisfaction.
- Review valuation analyses, reports, and deliverables for technical accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for valuation professionals across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance valuation methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
- Monitor active engagements and proactively resolve project-related challenges.
- Stay current on valuation methodologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional credentials such as CPA, CVA, AVA, AM&AA, or similar are highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
- 6+ years of experience in business valuation, transaction advisory, investment banking, financial consulting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing client-facing projects.
- Strong financial analysis, valuation modeling, and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to travel periodically as needed.

Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $130k - $175k
Discretionary Bonus: 15-30%
