Sounds great, what will I be doing?

 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the strategic and operational delivery of our Recovery Café, a vital out-of-hours mental health crisis service operating 365 days a year, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers, volunteers and students to provide person-centred support that enables individuals to de-escalate immediate crises, build resilience and develop self-management strategies. You will play a key role in service development, partnership building, performance management, and quality assurance, ensuring contractual outcomes, KPIs and customer experience standards are achieved. The postholder will contribute to  staff supervision and recruitment, and team leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about recovery-focused practice, co-production, partnership working, and delivering high-quality services that empower people to achieve greater independence and wellbeing.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong background in mental health services and a passion for delivering high-quality, recovery-focused support. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing services for people with mental health needs and complex needs, alongside a commitment to supporting and developing staff with lived experience. You will bring proven people management skills, including recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management, staff development, and the handling of disciplinary and grievance matters.

You will possess a thorough understanding of mental health crisis management and the delivery of trauma-informed, recovery-focused services, including experience working alongside Peer Support Workers. A strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including Community Care, Mental Health, Health and Safety, and welfare benefits legislation, is required, as is an understanding of partnership working with statutory mental health services and other key stakeholders.

The part time hours for this role are 3 - 4 days per week from 3pm - 11pm
