Here at GXO, we’re proud to be a Tier One partner to NNB at Hinkley Point C , supporting once of the UK’s most significant nuclear energy projects. We manage critical warehousing and transportation services, keeping the project moving safely and efficiently.
As an HR Advisor , you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service across the site. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers, helping to drive performance, engagement, and a positive workplace culture aligned to GXO’s values.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00, with the ability to work-from-home 1 day per week.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum , and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Partner with managers to provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and best practice HR processes
- Manage end-to-end HR casework, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, and trade union matters
- Deliver key people processes, including probation, flexible working, maternity/paternity, and engagement activities
- Support recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance and selection of high-quality talent
- Drive HR insight and improvement, analysing data (absence, turnover, etc.) and contributing to the site people plan
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards this , with a proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach
- Proven HR Advisor experience , with strong exposure to employee relations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels
- Strong organisation and prioritisation abilities, managing multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, ideally with trade union exposure
