Senior Java Microservices Developer

Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:
• 8–12 years of Java development experience (Java 7+). 
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security. 
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Topics, Partitions, Offsets, Kafka Streams, Schemas). 
• Strong knowledge of Microservices and distributed system architecture. 
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or gRPC. 
• Proficiency with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or Cassandra. 
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Strong knowledge of Git version control. 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

Preferred Skills
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or Confluent Platform. 
• Knowledge of Istio, Envoy, or other service mesh technologies. 
• Experience with Redis or Memcached. 
• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA). 
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. 
• Build and optimize Apache Kafka producers, consumers, and real-time messaging pipelines. 
• Develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems. 
• Build and maintain RESTful/gRPC APIs. 
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver technical solutions. 
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to coding best practices. 
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend services and Kafka pipelines. 
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system scalability. 
• Continuously improve development processes and adopt modern technologies.
