Help shape the future of banking technology across the Pacific

Join Pacific Banking Technology and become part of one of the most significant banking transformation programs in the region. This is an opportunity to help modernise the technology that supports banking services across Fiji and Papua New Guinea while working on initiatives that improve customer outcomes, strengthen operational resilience and enable future growth.

Based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country, this permanent hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse technology landscape spanning core banking, enterprise platforms, operational systems, technology controls and business transformation initiatives. You'll partner with business, technology, risk and vendor stakeholders to solve complex challenges and help shape the future of banking across the Pacific.

What's the role?

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you'll play a critical role in bridging business needs and technology solutions, helping ensure investments deliver meaningful outcomes for customers, colleagues and the organisation.

You'll lead analysis activities across a broad portfolio of initiatives, working closely with engineers, architects, delivery teams and business stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes and support the delivery of practical, scalable solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading systems analysis activities across technology transformation, operational improvement and technology modernisation initiatives.
  • Gathering, analysing and documenting business, technical, operational and data requirements.
  • Conducting current and future state assessments to identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, automation and operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions to build alignment and drive informed decision making.
  • Supporting solution design activities and helping translate business requirements into practical technology outcomes.
  • Partnering with business, engineering, architecture, risk and vendor teams to support successful delivery.
  • Producing high quality analysis artefacts including process maps, user stories, impact assessments, requirements documentation and decision papers.
  • Supporting testing, implementation, change readiness and transition activities.
  • Providing clear recommendations, insights and analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work across business, technology and transformation at enterprise scale.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Help modernise banking technology across multiple Pacific markets.
  • Work on one of the region's largest banking and technology transformation programs.
  • Gain exposure across core banking, digital banking, enterprise platforms, technology operations and risk management.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to influence strategic outcomes.
  • Build expertise across systems analysis, process design, technology controls and solution shaping.
  • Develop pathways into architecture, product ownership, business analysis leadership, technology transformation and delivery management roles.
What do I need?
  • Experience in systems analysis, business analysis or technology delivery within a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements and analysing business processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence and a passion for continuous improvement.
Benefits
  • Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands, including generous employee only mortgage rates.
  • Flexible work arrangements to help you achieve a greater work life balance, and a variety of leave options including Culture, Lifestyle and Wellbeing leave.
  • Tailored learning and development opportunities to help you grow your career within the bank.
  • Lots of opportunities to give back to the community by getting involved in our many volunteering initiatives.
