Experienced Physical Therapist – Outpatient Rehab Opportunity

Physical Therapist (PT) | South Plainfield, New Jersey

Annual Salary: $90,000–$100,000, based on experience
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Typical Patient Flow: 1–2 patients per hour
Clinical Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office

Job Description

We're searching for an outpatient Physical Therapist in South Plainfield, NJ who can independently evaluate and treat patients across a range of orthopedic conditions.

Patients may be recovering from surgery, managing an injury, rebuilding strength after periods of limited mobility, or working toward returning to normal work, recreational, and everyday activities. Your role is to determine where each patient is functionally, establish realistic rehabilitation goals, and use appropriate physical therapy interventions to help them progress.

This is a full-time weekday opportunity for a PT with prior outpatient experience who is comfortable managing evaluations, ongoing treatment, reassessments, and documentation.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new patients and identify physical and functional limitations
  • Establish individualized rehabilitation goals and plans of care
  • Provide orthopedic physical therapy treatment
  • Guide patients through strengthening, mobility, flexibility, and functional exercises
  • Incorporate manual techniques when appropriate to the treatment plan
  • Track measurable changes in patient function
  • Modify exercises and interventions as recovery progresses
  • Explain home programs and provide practical patient education
  • Maintain organized and accurate treatment records
  • Support safe transitions back to normal activities
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • DPT or MSPT degree
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Experience evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
