Notes from call with the customer: The Data & Analytics organization has significantly expanded its application portfolio over the last two quarters, introducing modern technologies such as Databricks, Power BI, and new data integration processes. The team is now managing 40-60 project artifacts per quarter, each with its own set of tasks, dependencies, stakeholders, and downstream impacts. Currently, the organization lacks sufficient visibility into: Cross-functional dependencies Upstream and downstream impacts Resource utilization and capacity planning Delivery risks and timelines Overall Azure DevOps governance and reporting As a result, Reynolds American is seeking a highly organized Agile/Azure DevOps professional to improve project governance, dependency management, and delivery execution across the Data & Analytics portfolio. Key Responsibilities Serve as the central coordinator for project activities tracked within Azure DevOps. Drive visibility into project dependencies, deadlines, roadblocks, risks, and downstream impacts. Facilitate weekly and bi-weekly project reviews with stakeholders to identify delays, blockers, and resource constraints. Ensure work is properly tracked through the project lifecycle, from task assignment through QA, stakeholder approval, and production migration. Monitor and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion and delivery. Improve Azure DevOps governance, reporting, traceability, and overall portfolio management practices. Help establish clearer resource utilization and capacity planning processes. Support and oversee CI/CD pipeline governance and related delivery processes. Required Experience Strong Azure DevOps administration, governance, and reporting experience. Experience managing complex project dependencies and cross-functional deliverables. Ability to identify and communicate risks, concerns, delays, and cross-RFS dependencies to stakeholders quickly and effectively. Experience supporting Agile project delivery environments. Exposure to CI/CD pipeline management and governance. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. -------------------------- Customer Requirements: Generate and deliver Azure DevOps reports, dashboards, and project insights tailored to stakeholder and leadership requirements. Promote Agile best practices, process compliance, and continuous improvement across project teams to ensure successful delivery and operational excellence. Ensure work items are appropriately structured and managed within Azure DevOps (ADO), including Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks, with complete traceability and progress tracking. Create high-quality user stories that clearly define business requirements, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes. Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to ensure features are properly decomposed, refined, prioritized, and estimated before sprint commitment. Configure and manage sprint iterations with defined timelines to support effective sprint planning and delivery. Manage team capacity by maintaining visibility into resource availability, planned leave, holidays, and other scheduling constraints. Drive sprint planning activities and secure team commitment to sprint goals and deliverables. Maintain and oversee Kanban boards within ADO to provide visibility into work across development stages and proactively address bottlenecks and delays. Lead daily stand-up meetings using the task board to review completed work, upcoming activities, and identify blockers or impediments. Track, document, and manage project risks and dependencies within ADO, ensuring critical risks and blockers are highlighted, monitored, and communicated through dashboards and reporting mechanisms. Develop and maintain project dashboards and performance metrics for real-time monitoring, ADO hygiene, and work item compliance, ensuring all tasks and defects are linked to the appropriate Product Backlog Items (PBIs). Monitor sprint performance through velocity, burndown charts, and other Agile metrics to support continuous improvement. Ensure all required project documentation, deliverables, testing evidence, and supporting artifacts are attached to completed user stories before closure. Establish, maintain, and oversee test plans and test cases within ADO, ensuring proper review, execution, and linkage to corresponding user stories. Manage defect lifecycle processes by creating, tracking, prioritizing, and resolving defects identified during testing, with complete traceability in ADO. Oversee CI/CD pipeline creation, maintenance, governance, and approval processes to support efficient software delivery. Configure and maintain custom ADO fields, workflows, and dropdown values based on business and project requirements. Provision and administer new Azure DevOps projects and boards as required. Manage user access, security roles, and permissions within Azure DevOps to ensure compliant and controlled access.
