Job Description
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a motivated Software & AI Developer Student Assistant for Fall semester.You will work closely with the Lead Developer to build, modernize, and scale internal business applications using Java Spring and Vue.js. You will gain hands-on experience designing robust database backends, implementing automated workflows using UiPath, and prototyping next-generation AI features using cutting-edge tools like ChatGPT and Claude Code.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Student Assistant/Research Assistant
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
- 3.0or higher cumulative GPA
- Basic programming experience in modern languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with relational database concepts (SQL/Oracle).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Linux and open-source tools
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD tools
- Experience utilizing LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI coding assistants (Claude Code, ChatGPT).
- Knowledge of business automation tools like UIPath
